The Time Based Inspection part will deal with different test and analysis on oilfield equipments. The inspections offered are:
- Oilfield storage pressure test and certification
- Lifting equipments load test and certification
As a first step in each inspection, SATOIL identifies:
- The scope
- The terms of reference and
- The client’s specific requirements.
Inspection and testing are controlled by instructions, procedures, specifications and drawings, which include the appropriate methodology and acceptance criteria (API,ASME,etc). On completion, clients are provides indexed inspection reports with illustrations, detailing the inspected materials, equipment & systems, the observations & findings and including supporting documentation. Recommendations on efficiency, safety and economy are included, when pertinent.
On the other hand, Risk Based Inspection (RBI) takes a holistic view of a system to identify the critical items and others, which will not greatly influence the system's reliability. Resources are then aimed at maintenance of the higher criticality items based on an analysis of safety, environmental and economic risk. This will create a Risk Based Maintenance which is differs from other maintenance methods in that it has a shorter lead-time. The final deliverable of the RBI assessment is a condition focused Risk Based Maintenance Plan, which embodies maintenance frequency. This maintenance plan is aimed at maximising plant output and life, minimising downtime and life of field costs, whilst maximising safety, reliability and total life integrity.
